Southern region of Chile known for its forests, the Andes mountains and lakes. The regional capital, Puerto Montt, is a busy port with a neoclassical wooden cathedral. Among the active volcanoes nearby are Osorno, with its cone covered by a glacier and Calbuco. To the south, the island of Chiloé is known for its wooden churches and fjords where whales can be seen.
DAY 01 – SANTIAGO – PUERTO MONTT
Welcome at Puerto Montt airport and transfer to Puerto Varas. City tour in Puerto Varas, known as the City of Roses, where we will visit Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, main square, and the bay street that borders Llanquihue Lake. Upon arrival in Puerto Montt, we will observe a panoramic view of the bay and Tenglo Island, touring through downtown and visiting Angelmo, a seafood and handicraft market. Overnight in Puerto Varas.
DAY 02 – EXCURSION TO PEULLA
Breakfast in the hotel. Excursion toward Ensenada, skirting Lake Llanquihue. Visit to Petrohue River Waterfalls, followed by a boat tour through the emerald waters of Lake All Saints en route to Peulla, enjoying a panoramic view of Osorno, Puntiagudo, and Tronador Volcanoes. Lunch included. Return to Puerto Varas. Overnight.
DAY 03 – CHILOÉ ISLAND
Breakfast in the hotel. Crossing of Chacao Channel by ferry to the mythical island of Chiloe, distinguished by its maritime activity, its churches named Heritage of Mankind, and its festivities. Lunch included. In the afternoon, return to Puerto Varas. Overnight.
DAY 04 – PUERTO MONTT – SANTIAGO
Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to Puerto Montt airport for flight back to Santiago. End of our services.
