Arica & Parinacota
The year 1981 was declared an integral part of the World Network of Biosphere Reserves.
Day 01 – Putre
Welcome at the airport and transfer to Putre, visiting Lluta Valley and Candlestick Cactus, Pre-inca fortress in Copaquilla and Aymara village of Socoroma. Arrival to Putre. Overnight.
Day 02 – Lauca National Park
Breakfast in the hotel. Visit to Bofedal de las Cuevas and hike to observe wild native animals, such as vicuñas, vizcachas, and bofedales, the foundation of the ecosystem in these high plains. We will admire a large variety of birds, including Northern pitios, wild geese, Andean seagulls, pink flamingoes, the giant condor, and different species of ducks. Arrival at Chungará Lake and Cotacotani Lagoons. Hike and picnic in Parinacota. Overnight
Day 03 – Arica
Breakfast in the hotel. Return to Arica visiting Azapa Valley and San Miguel of Azapa Museum. Arrive to Arica and transfer to the airport.
